On evenings when sleep does not come,
When i wake up at three in the morning,
The child inside my womb
Sings for me a lullabye for mothers.
I alone hear my child's lullabye,
My child perhaps the angel in my mind,
As tiny as my hand,
But giving me the courage
Ten times a thousand
And a life unblemished.
I wish to sing you this lullabye,
To let it sleep through
Your flesh and bone,
This baby's lullabye
Is a lullabye for fathers too.
